Boutique Collaborations

We sent our second collaboration to Revolver! Located in the Lower Haight district of San Francisco, Revolver aims to connect people with beautiful high quality goods and crafted pieces from local and international artisans.

To start things we off, we styled the mauve Renata Dress with a pair of black clogs by No.6, for a causal and structured fit. The simple top cut of this piece accentuates the widened sleeve style.

Next, we paired the black Nellie Jacket with high-rise black skinny jeans and sandals by Need Supply.  This loose-flowing jacket is beyond comfortable and comes with great, roomy pockets! Lastly, we combined the black Amelia Tank with skinny jeans for a monochromatic appearance. This style adds a classic, uniform feel and pairs nicely with brim styled hats.

Vuela is an online boutique showcasing thoughtfully designed products from local artisans, emerging talents, and independent designers from around the globe. We sent them the Vuela Dress. This piece is flattering with its lining back detail. For a casual feel, we styled it with a pair of white slip ons by Topshop. The structure of this design keeps the Vuela dress’s silhouette simple and feminine – a look everyone can enjoy. Cliche, a neighboring boutique located in Uptown, Minneapolis has three new designs from HDH available online today and in-store tomorrow as part of their Future Heritage event!

The navy striped Aldrich Top is casual and light weight. We combined this piece with a simple pair of white denim pants and sandals by Need Supply. For another look, tie the white Aldrich Top in front for a whole new feel to this design. For a warmer approach we layered the white Aldrich Top over a black slip with sandals by Topshop.

Mimicking the material of the Aldrich top, the Colfax Kaftan is generous in length and also comes in navy and white. This piece works well over form-fitted denim bottoms and also as a swimsuit cover up. We styled the navy striped Colfax Kaftan over our HDH swim white hipster bottoms for a nice peek into summer.

The Clinton Dress runs the show in its dominant straight lines. We styled it in a more casual way with black sandals by Topshop and a straw hat by Brookes Boswell.

To add to your eclectic wardrobe, discover these pieces for yourself at 2403 Lyndale Avenue South Minneapolis, MN 55405 or visit Cliche’s website today!

We’re excited to send a new HDH design to Puerto Rico this week! Welcome the Caparra Kaftan to LU|CA of Old San Juan.

The breezy Caparra Kaftan features a long open slit on each side of the design allowing for plenty of room for movement. The straight silhouette of the Caparra Kaftan layers nicely over any swimsuit style. We paired it over the HDH Slate Two-Piece Suit to compliment its neutral tones. Looking to dress things up a bit? Style the Caparra Kaftan over your favorite jumper or light wash skinny jean. This look is all about subtle details and elegant drapes. Finish it off with a pair of ivory wedges by Donald Pliner and your day out awaits!

This week we teamed up with Coccolarsi Boutique! Tucked away in the small village of Locust Valley, NY, Coccolarsi is operated by mother-daughter duo, Gina and Vienna.

Offering a collection for women of all ages, Coccolarsi and HDH bring you three new designs! The Vienna Wrap Dress, available in two fabrics, is a free-moving piece designed for any body structure. We styled the Ivory Vienna Dress in a semi-elegant way, accompanied with the Truss Cuff by our Makers Alongside collaborator Young Frankk and pointed flats by Madewell.

We styled the grey Vienna Dress in a more casual way, left open and tied either in back or front. Another option to spice up your look; layer the Vienna Dress over a black jumper, like our HDH Arcadia Jumper. The Rye Top, with great texture, pairs nicely with black trousers or any shade of denim. The unique open detail on the bottom sides and front of this top allow a sense of ease. Worn casually or more formal, this piece is a statement for anyone’s wardrobe. A sheath style like the blue Latting Dress makes for an endlessly comfortable, classy look. Finalize your outfit with a gold cuff by WWake.

Dedicated to mindful design and craft, Makers Making ranks high on our charts for collaboration insight. Rooted out of Cape May, NJ, Makers Making thrives in creative exploration and is ready to get others on board.

With that, we are excited their new brick and mortar is stocking these new releases: the black Benton Top & grey washed Curlew Dress.  We dressed up the Curlew Dress with a pair of black mules by Calvin Klein and our very own Taylor Jacket. We kept it minimal with the black Benton Top. With its high slit accent, it goes great peaking out over slip dresses, shorts, or a pair of leggings. We completed the look by adding a pair of flat black sandals by Topshop.

Also released, two more collaborative HDH swim pieces; a black one piece with a tie knot and a black and white two-piece. Feel refreshed this summer in a suit that looks good, but feels even better.

We’re excited about our most recent designs for Minneapolis’s Wilson + Willy’s!  These designs are some of our personal favorite pieces for spring.

We love the way the Florence Kimono drapes.  Available in a lightweight gray and white knit and a lovely ivory cotton, this kimono comes with oversized pockets and works as a great layering piece or a swimsuit coverup.  We particularly like it with our Afton Pant and the new platform sandal from Pons or as a coverup over our Black High-Waisted Bottoms and Black Sporty Top.

We included some easy basics with the Todd Top and Sophie Dress.  Both are available in charcoal gray or light gray.  Each drapes perfectly and will work seamlessly into your closet.

Wilson + Willy’s is a new boutique located in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN.  It is a general store dedicated to providing its patrons with quality made American goods.  Head on over to their website to learn more about Wilson + Willy’s and to find these pieces seen here and more!

Boutique Collaborations

Hawthorn meets Hackwith Design House! We collaborated with a lovely curated women’s boutique located in the heart of Rockridge Oakland, CA. Investment pieces with a timeless appeal describes the aesthetic behind these designs.

We styled our pieces for Hawthorn in a classic way with a feminine edge. The long Hawthorn dress, unique in its storm blue color, flatters the shape of any body with its killer drape. We matched it with a pair of pointed flats by Madewell to add a little femininity. The Laurie Tunic, styled with worn jeans for a more casual appearance, is cool and comfy for any day of the week. Generous in its length, the Laurie Tunic could also functions as a dress. Add a pair of leather sandals or flats and your outfit is complete.

Looking for a different back detail? The Thorn Tank is lightweight and paired perfectly with a dark or light wash denim. The ivory back details set it apart from the rest and can be tucked in or left out.

To help in representing the movement away from disposable design, you can find all three of these designs on Hawthorn’s website today!

British Columbia’s newest boutique, Frances Grey, opens today in Victoria!  We’re thrilled that they are stocking four new HDH designs: the Victoria and Lara Kimonos and Tara and Frances Dresses!

Both the Victoria and Lara Kimonos feature an open-front and flowy side slits.  The medium weight light gray Victoria Kimono looked great styled simply over our White Marais Tank and a pair of distressed jeans.  We loved the contrast in color and texture between the lightweight navy Lara Kimono and our raw silk Adrian Tank.  While we styled the beige Tara Dress simply, we dressed the blue silk Frances Dress up with a favorite Tiro Tiro necklace, our Linus Cuff, and our Envelope Clutch.

Frances Grey is a new clothing and accessory boutique in Victoria, BC, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with them for these designs.  Visit their website to learn more about Frances Grey!

We sent two new pieces to Anomie

Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Anomie takes great pride in supporting independent designers, brands, and artists looking to indulge in ethical creativity. This week our collaboration includes two handcrafted pieces: the Jet Top & Rhodo Dress

Functioning in two different fabrics, a drapey charcoal gray and a subtle pale pink, the Jet Top goes well with any shade of denim or trouser styled pant. We styled the charcoal Jet Top with a pair of medium-washed jeans for a looser, casual look. Tucked in or left out, the pale pink Jet Top pairs nicely with a sleek black or grey pant style for a classier appearance. For a unique, yet comfortable finish, we finalized the look with a pair of Black Pons.

Looking for a similar look, but in a dress construct? The Rhodo Dress makes dressing up more fun and comfortable. We styled the pale pink Rhodo Dress with a pair of ivory heels by Via Spiga, to add a touch of femininity. The shift style of the charcoal Rhodo Dress lengthens the body in its darker tones and can be worn both causally and formally. We styled it with our medium platform black Pons, for a calmer more uniformed look.
