A Note to Our Customers:

Dear HDH Customers,

We have anti-racist work to do.  Over the last two weeks, we’ve learned our commitment to diversity in our models, inclusivity in our sizing, and charitable giving is not enough.  We are still learning.  We work hard to produce high-quality clothing.  We work hard to pay our employees fairly and provide them with healthcare options.  We work hard to do our part to close the loop in our production system.  We are going to use that same work ethic to bring anti-racist practices into our business model.

We will use our Instagram platform to amplify BIPOC voices, to bring awareness to important issues, and to raise support for organizations doing anti-racist work on the ground.  We will continue to support our employees who need time off to protest or volunteer.  We will work to diversify our team as we grow.  We will partner with more BIPOC makers in our Maker’s Alongside project.  This is where we are starting – we will not stop there.

We appreciate the customers who have held us accountable, and we hope that you will continue to share.  You can email Lisa (lisa@hackwithdesignhouse.com) or Erin (erin@hackwithdesignhouse.com) with any questions or ideas of how we can continue to improve.  We would love to hear from you.

Thank you for all your support, and let’s get to work.

Sincerely,

Erin & Lisa
