Our sewing team has been having fun playing around with various shirring techniques in many of our spring and summer looks. Shirring is a sewing technique that requires elastic thread in the bobbin, and creates a fitted, smocked-like look. You can see shirring across the bust and on the sleeves on our Shirred Maxi Dress. We love a good wrap-style blouse for many reasons, one of them being that they can be wrapped and tied as tight as you like depending on how you’re feeling that day! Likewise, the wrap style always creates an elegant and flattering v-neck. Our Tie Wrap Blouse is also unique with its short balloon sleeves. Shop in a variety of sustainable cottons and linens! Take a closer look at two specific pieces from our most recent Core Collection launch. The Tie Jacket Top is a brand new design to HDH, with its unique gathered detail at the shoulder, drawstring ties as the wrists, and tie closure at the waist. This cropped top can be worn as photographed below, or thrown over a simple tee as a lightweight, cropped jacket.

Our Palazzo Pants aren’t new to HDH since we first introduced them last fall, but we have added brand new colors and fabrics that fit seamlessly with the other pieces we’ve launched for Spring. These wide-leg pants are roomy and comfortable with their elastic waist and inseam pockets. The Palazzo Pants include a thin tie that can be tied around the waist, or tied through the belt hoops to be worn as overalls.

Our new Oversized Dress was designed with comfort, versatility, and sustainability at the forefront. Its relaxed fit and billowy balloon sleeves provide plenty of room to move around and layer over a fitted turtleneck for example.
