Madesmith Academy: Sustainable Fashion Business Incubator

We are excited to be a small part of this incredible educational opportunity. Madesmith Academy is teaching an online class with everything you need to know to create a profitable sustainable fashion business in 8 weeks.  Hackwith Design House is a case study in this class that examines and teaches you how to create your own ethical fashion business.  You’ll also receive expert media advice from people like Kate of Wit & Delight.  We wish something like this was around when we started!

Registration ends January 25th, and classes begin February 19th!  Sign up here.

It’s sample sale time!  We are hosting a local sample sale in our studio located at 550 Vandalia Street, Suite 314, Saint Paul, MN!  The sale will be held on Sunday, December 13th from 12-3pm.

And for our customers who don’t live in Minnesota, we are hosting an online sample sale this holiday season!  You’ll be able to find one-of-a-kind samples on our website from Monday, December 14th to Wednesday, December 16th.

During the sample sales, all our limited edition pieces will be 15% off.

Locals, it’s sample sale time! Saturday, February 28th, we’ll be at Wilson + Willy’s with a sample sale featuring some of our favorite dresses, tops, kimonos, and coats for warm and cool weather alike (including the entire outfit pictured above). Drop by for coffee and treats while you browse the HDH pieces you’ve been eyeing!

This weekend, eight of our new designs are heading to Cliche, a Minneapolis boutique focused on filling an eclectic wardrobe with on-trend, classic pieces.  We’ve created two tops, two jackets, two dresses, and two tunics, all available starting Sunday at Cliche!  To celebrate, join us for mimosas, Patisserie 46 pastries, and a winter collection trunk show at Cliche this Sunday, November 16th from 11am-1pm!  

The Kotero and Sheila Tops are a perfect match for a warm skirt or your favorite pair of slacks.  We paired both with our Fisk Pant.

The Mavis and Tevin Tops are perfect tunics for your seasonal collection, both draping easily to flatter any frame.  The Mavis Top is seen here paired with our Ryan Pant.

The Ivana and Hayle Dresses’ hemlines hit just above the knee with half-length sleeves for the cooler fall weather.  The great seam down the front elongates and makes it unnecessary to wear jewelry, so we styled the charcoal gray Hayle with our favorite pair of Red Wings.

Finally, two jackets are headed to Cliche: the Bria and Nona.  We love the black knit Bria with our Straid Tank and high-waisted trousers!
